Ice Pond Skating- La Pashe

Good evening bloggers and crafters!!....how is your Christmas Crafting coming along?? As all us crafters know Christmas is our BUSIEST time of year!! and it can be hard with sooooo many cards to make to think of new designs and ideas, to try and keep coming up with new images to keep our crafting fresh and current! As a crafter who sells her cards and also attends a Christmas Fair I have many friends who come to me every year for their special family and friends cards, so I'm always looking to see what I can offer that is new and different from what I created the year before!
This year we have had some fabulous new launches from La Pashe and they have definately not dissapointed us once again with the new launch only a couple of weeks ago of their newest cd rom The Christmas Box

The card I am sharing tonight was another of my DT cards made for the exciting launch on Create and Craft, I can't begin to say how exciting it is to be part of this DT, and to have the opportunity to work with the extremely talented Jak Heath and our amazingly talented ladies on our DT !!! I LOVE it! and I am as proud as punch to display my DT badge with extreme pride on my blog!..ok i'm gushing...on with the card!
SO!... for this design called- Ice Pond Skating I used the pre printed sheet, that you can find just ....HERE!....69p!! (this still amazes me!) and I also used one of the co-ordinating background papers found on the cd rom.
I started with a A4 sheet of 300gsm card, scored and folded to create an A5 card blank,

I mat and layered the backing paper on to silver mirri card and to the left wrapped some very luscious silver ribbon tied in a knot,
I made up my decoupage pieces, layered onto silver and secured in place,  Die cut some silver skates and printed the sentiments- Let It Snow and Christmas Wishes,..this is where you need to add your snow!! LOTS of lovely glitter!!  ...then.... for the exciting part!! I took a piece of A4 snow flake acetate and created a wrap, to do this I cut my sheet to 24cm, scored a fold at both ends measuring  2cm each, along each 2cm fold I placed red extra strong tape, and carfully attached each flap to the underside of my main card topper.

I then attached this to my A5 card blank! I Love this!! so different and it looks like it is snowing :) now....you can't buy these cards in the shop! and that is one of the MANY things that I love about hand made cards!
So I hope you like my card and please check out the web site right HERE! for all your Christmas supplies!!
Right I have waffled enough! I will be back with more soon! Good night everyone!!

Heart "Felt" Wishes from Sheena Douglas

Good morning crafters!, today see's a new DT post with some exciting new products!
This month for JB- Crafting Supplies I will be working with some new stamps available now just  HERE on Julie's on-line store. The first stamp set is a collection by Sheena Douglas's A Little Bit Festive range, called "Heart Felt Wishes"
These stamps are really lovely! and so easy to work with!, I have so many designs rolling around in my head! but first off I decided to create a simple card using the 3 main images from the set,
I created a card showing the 3 designs hanging from a christmas tree, and used a a Christmas Pine Die to cut some lovely green pine needles, arranged them to the left of my card placing some flat and a few on 3D foam pads then arranged my images!, The stamps are simple and quick to colour in, and are perfect for not only accomplished colourists but perfect for beginners and children too!
A little dash of satin green ribbon and the cutest of sentiments that comes with the set! and voila, one quick Christmas card that is sure to stand out on your mantle piece this christmas tme!
Next Saturday I will  create something using my next stamp set that Julie has been so kind enough to send me for my DT work so untill next time....
happy Crafting

Halloween Challenge # 66 At TSB

Good evening bloggers!!
Today...the 1st of October sees a BRAND NEW challenge start over at The Stamping Boutique !! Challenge #66 has the theme of HALLOWEEN!! and here is my DT piece for this month!
The digi stamp I chose to work with is called "Halloween Journal" and you can find it right ...HERE!! I printed my image in three different sizes, cut out and  used my promarkers to colour in, making a place mat, coaster and then a napkin holder by taking a strip of green card about 1.5 inches wide securing around a napkin and popping the coloured image into place :) For the name place setting I simply popped the image into my graphic programme.... enlarged, then using a "Digital Punch" I selected only the wooden sign, that I printed, coloured and folded in half then cut out to make a standing place card. I think this is perfect for this years Halloween parties for children or adults alike!, I really do hope you will all stop by and join in with us this month!
