Happy New Year!!
And what a year it's been!! amazing!! its been such a great jam packed full crazy busy wonderful year! I've been that full on i cant remember the last time i had chance to blog!! which is just awful BUT it does mean i have lots of photos waiting to be edited and get on here....EVENTUALLY! so....new year new crafty start! and whats in store..well, quite frankly LOTS ha ha lots and lots of crafty fabulousness, I'm still proudly designing cards for Sheena Douglass and crafters Companion and i hope to continue for as long as they will have me! so lots of projects i feel are brewing there! working on something just quite fabulous at the moment that i will be sharing soon!....new years resolutions? well, not so much a resolution as plans for 2016!, BLOG MORE must be top of the list , i love to blog...i love to talk and anyone who knows me would know this! SO 2016 I'm going to set me a dedicated day that's my blog day, a sort of bit of me time really as i love it, and as much as i have absolutely no idea if anyone actually reads my posts.... i enjoy writing them!, so for my first blog of 2016 I'm going to share a little card i made for Crafters Companion back in 2015! using one of their texture folders, i can't tell you how much i adore these folders! if i could only ever play with one embossing folder EVER EVER again it would be these ( all of them you understand!) and if you are reading this and don't have any of them you can pop along and check them out just .....HERE.
and here it is! simple and pretty,
and here's how i made it
first off...i cut 2 pieces of Sheena stamping card to the size i
wanted, and 2 bunting / flag shapes then using one of the crafters Companion texture stamps, i added a couple of circles, just stamped in black
then i embossed all pieces using the basket weave embossing folder
then for some bright colours!!! i used Rose Bud and Dandelion momento ink pads
and blended the colours with a round Tim Holtz blending tool
the pink and yellow blend lovely giving a fabulous bright orange too!
then simply start to assemble, i used Collall 3D glue for my bunting laying one over the other,
then finally....i stamped a sentiment, again using the crafters companion texture stamps, i chose the word CREATE ....blended some ink around the edges, curled and glued in place, then printed the words "with friends" these i inked then sprayed with spray and sparkle...final touch a few Hobby House roses and a simple green Cheery Lynn swirl die cut....ooh and 2 teeny tiny diamantes..i LOVE these!
and there you go, quick and simple, i have a few of these made with the texture folders i'll be posting,
so...thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read my little blog!
hugs
