Crafting Musketeers Challenge # 9 "Grunge"

Happ New Year Everyone!!!
I hope you all had a wonderful 2013 and have lots planned for 2014! Over at the Crafting Musketeers  we have a brand new challenge starting! So why not come and join us,
Challenge #9 has the theme of "Grunge"! and we have a fabulous sponsor this month....Visible Image !! With a fabulous prize! just check this out...
How gorgeous are these stamps!I wish I could enter myself lol,
So as usual the design team have been happily crafting away to bring you lovely lot some inspiration! now...I have NEVER attempted a "Grunge" card lol and had no idea where to start ;/ but then its good to try something new! For my DT card this month I used a Visible image stamp set called "Molly Rules" and you can find it just over ...HERE! I LOVE this stamp set! Visible Image stamps are exceptional quality...if you have them.... you know what I mean and if you don't...check them out now just HERE!
and heres my card:)

I chose to stick to one colour theme , so ....where did I start?  I printed my background from a Docrafts CD rom called Chronology ( freebie from a mag..BONUS!) I distressed the edges and inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain, curled the edges and matted onto some Tan card stock..then using a papercraft 3 heart garland stamp I made a garland stamping it 3 times- cut out attaching string at each end. I embossed a Couture Creations embossing folder- Renaissance and attached to the left where I wanted my "To Do" list to be, this I simply printed distressed and inked, then curled and stuck into place. I used a Joy Crafts clock die using coordinations card stock and distressed by sanding back, a bit of string...and then two circle sentiment stamps stamps from lotv- "Wishing you sunshine all year through" and "Believe the world is full of magic" Then for "MOLLY"
Here she is! I LOVED coulouring her in! wanting to keep to the same colours I simply stamped her in Tim Holtz Walnut Stain and then to colour her? Easy, I just put a BIG splodge of walnut stain ink onto my glass mat and simply used a paintbrush and water, nothing else, I'm quite chuffed how she turned out :) so there you have it- My take on Grunge", I hope you like it , and will come and join us this month, dont forget to check out all the design Team blogs to check out their makes and what they did

So get out your stash crafters...you know what to do! head on over to The Crafting Musketeers and get your entry in!
Remeber your project must be a new creation and follow our theme, and will run up untill 29th January at 8pm
I look forward to seeing all your creations!!!
Nicole
